The educational Reading Comprehension Cards support children aged 4 to 7 years old in developing an essential skill: understanding the meaning of a sentence and making connections between the text and the image.

Each card offers:

• a short, clear sentence
• 2 or 3 illustrations
• an observation and reflection exercise to choose the image that corresponds to the text

The child learns to read with attention and intention.

Developing true reading comprehension

These cards allow the child to:

• read a sentence and understand its meaning
• observe important details
• make connections between the text and the image
• develop concentration and logic
• strengthen reading confidence

A key step to move from mechanical reading to conscious reading.

Card content

• 20 educational cards, divided into 2 levels:
  • Level 1 (orange) – 10 cards
    Simpler sentences, clear visual cues
  • Level 2 (yellow) – 10 cards
    Longer sentences, more details to observe
• Soft and non-overstimulating illustrations
• Recommended age: 4 to 7 years old

How to use them daily

• The child or adult reads the sentence
• The child observes the illustrations
• They point to, name, or circle the corresponding image
• Encourage discussion:
  • name objects or actions
  • explain the choice
  • invent a sentence from an image

A few minutes are enough to train in-depth comprehension.
